Living and Active

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." -Hebrews 4:12

Grace was "Very Active" tonight, apparently soaking in the prayers of the large number of people who turned out at the hospital tonight. Dad pointed out that Grace was moving her head, eyes, and toes more tonight than he had seen in a long time.

Grace stopped storming at approx 4am this morning and hasn't started again since. This is awesome progress!

The doctors pulled Grace's catheter a few days ago and have been allowing her kidneys to work again. The staff are checking periodically to make sure that everything is working well in that realm.

Mom had another busy day today trying to put things in order. As is typical of mothers, she's found it challenging to find time for lunch. Today in the 5 minutes mom had available before the medicaid home visit, mom became resourceful and downed an ever-nutritious can of peas. mmmmmmm. peas....

There's plenty of things to be thankful for today:
  • Favor with the medicaid rep!
  • Lots of wonderful people supporting the family!
  • Tons of movement from Grace!
Please pray for:
  • Complete restoration of all brain function for Grace
  • An end to the storming and the other undetermined episodes
  • Mom's successful gall bladder surgery coming up this Friday
  • A home with a Grace-friendly floor plan
  • Childcare for the boys until Grace comes home
  • Financial Provision (If you are interested please contact info@gracegoodday.com for more information.)

Praise God for the gathering of His people on little Grace's behalf and that of her family. And Praise Him as he listens and responds.
I am reminded today that we do not walk as much of the world does, we walk in truth and that truth is given in Matthew 22:37-39 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'.
We love you with an everlasting love Grace and mom and dad and boys. And we do this in obedience to God's Word.
We pray Father God in the name of Jesus for strength to meet the day, each one fresh and new, and each day planned out by you dear Lord. Amen

Praise God for Grace's awesome improvement. Her brain and body are completely healed by Jesus' stripes.

I thank God for the pulling of the catheter, as this may be the source of the infection. It would make a huge difference in Grace's recovery.

I thank God for Mom's diligence in getting things in order for Grace's homecoming. Also, Mom has the favor of God for all the things that need to happen for this event.

I thank God for Mom's successful surgery tomorrow and for a complete, quick recovery.

I thank God for easing Mom's schedule and that she has nutritious meals and time to eat.

Our God reigns and He is an awesome God!!

Chapel Prayer and Bedside Prayer was very powerful last night. Grace is such a beautiful and precious child and it was so wonderful to be one with a group believing so strongly in the power of Our Father. I know of many who were praying and the same time we were praying at the hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mom, as you have surgery tomorrow. May our Lord bless and keep you, Dad and your precious family.

Hello Friends,
What a huge blessing last evening was for everyone who participated in our time of petition before the Father! Thank you for sharing your thoughts along the way, mom and dad! We serve a risen Saviour who is in the world today! Praise God!

Praying for the medical team who take care of mom's gall bladder tomorrow...and for the team who continues to be all Grace needs them to every minute of every day!

How special it was to speak at length with park rangers who were with us last night...what a testimony in their presence!

Father, in this night, give our dear friends peace, rest, and calm assurance YOU are able, in every way, in Your perfect time...

Blessings,
L and T
