3 Steps Forward, 2 Steps Back

Today was a rough day, and Grace is in need of your prayers!

Grace returned from rehab to the ICU today.

Grace has a high fever today, and seems to keep getting infections. The doctors don't seem to know where they are coming from. Mom suspects that they might be lung infections, possibly related to the feeding tube, and she's asking for tests to rule that out. They're giving medications through Grace's feeding tube, which hasn't proven to be as effective as IVs were.

Grace has been storming a lot today, presumably due to the infections, and the medications haven't been able to bring things under control. The question of whether the staff should sedate Grace to stop the storming has come up, but doing so would require that Grace go back on the ventilator.

At the care meeting today, the doctors discussed the possibility of Grace going home in another 3 weeks. Mom was a bit shocked, and began to think about logistics. The family's home layout is not very conducive to Grace returning home in this condition, and 3 weeks isn't much time to find another place and move in the midst of everything else.

Mom said she was quite exhausted after the day today, but she also said that she knows things will come back and that she hasn't given up!

Please pray for:
  • An immediate end to the infections for Grace and family
  • Complete recovery for Grace
  • Strong marriage/unity for mom and dad
  • Financial Provision (If you are interested in helping in this area please e-mail info@gracegoodday.com for more info.)

We just pray right now that all the problems with infections in Grace's body would cease in Jesus name and that she would continue on to a full and complete recovery without any more complications along the way! We pray also for mom and dad for wisdom regarding moving and that all would come together in God's perfect timing. We know He has all under control. Amen!

Dear Grace and family,
I was searching my heart and Bible for something to say to you today and I found Nehemiah 4:6 So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart. We are called to pray and must continue fervently even if we are faced with opposition.
The rewards of work well done will be worth the effort.
All of the warriors around the country and abroad please continue to beseech Our Lord Jesus to Heal Grace and no more steps backward, no matter how small. Lord, guide mom and dad and help them know what to do being face with the logistics of Grace coming home. All things will become clear, in Jesus name.
Standing tall and ready. MiMi

Do not fear the circumstances or give up on your miracle. Speak to every mountain and command it to move in Jesus' Name. I am continuing to praise and worship God in the midst of the battle because we win.

I speak to the storming, the fever, the infection, and any other symptoms, and command them to be removed and cast into the sea and they have to go and they cannot return again in Jesus' Name. JESUS IS LORD OVER GRACE. She shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.

Grace's homecoming will be in God's timing and it will be a smooth transition. She has the life of God in her. She can do all things through Christ who strengthens her.

I speak the peace and rest of the Lord to Mom today. She is strengthened by the Lord and she is healed in Jesus' Name. Mom and Dad, you are awesome!!!

The prayers that are being said and have been said will not return void. They are still resounding in heaven and they are answered. Any division or strife or unforgiveness that may have occurred is bound and cast out in Jesus' Name. The love of God is prevailing and it never fails.

We give thanks to the Lord for bringing Grace back to normal and for all He is doing and has done so far. He is the strength of Grace's life.

It is easy to become discouraged when sick and tired. I pray that this family would be granted restful, healing sleep and renewed vigor. Grant them times of peace, joy and laughter.

Lord, You have already set their times, dates and places. Remind them that they don't have to worry about anything.

Give wisdom to The Church, that they may know when to gift the family with quiet together times and when to walk alongside them and offer a hand. I pray for unity between Mom and Dad. Tie their hearts together with friendship and devotion.

I pray that you would grant strength and health to Grace's body. Give her mind a break from the storms and allow it to heal and rewire itself.

I ask for Your glory, Your strength and Your peace to flow over this family. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
