One day at a time

Mom's update was quick tonight. Mom is coming down with a cold and needs prayer to remain healthy and full of energy.

Grace had a rough night last night. Her storming has continued and seems to occur with the least bit of stimulation. The medical staff was not allowing Mom and Dad to hold her at all due to her increase in storming. Mom finally was able to convince the medical staff that Mom's touch would help with the matter. Sure enough in the middle of a storming episode Mom held her and the storming began to lessen and then disappeared.

The family has a Care Meeting tomorrow where long term plans for Grace will be discussed. Mom is concerned about the timing of the meeting. She does not feel that now is the time to be discussing long term plans when Grace's progress has been interrupted by two infections.

Dad was spending some time with Grace this evening so I do not have any information regarding Grace's progress tonight.

Please pray for:
  • Storming to cease
  • Grace to return to her talkative self
  • Strong marriage/unity
  • Faith through the good reports and the not so good reports
  • Infections to leave her body quickly
  • Care Meeting tomorrow
  • Entire family's health
  • Financial Provision (If you are interested in helping in this area please e-mail info@gracegoodday.com for more info.)

I plead the blood of Jesus over Grace and her family. I bind the strongman and the strongholds and spoil his goods and I loose the power of the Holy Spirit to fill them in Jesus' Name.

Their bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, justified and sanctified by the Holy Spirit. The enemy has no power over them and no place in them in Jesus' Name. I invite the Holy Spirit to complete the plans that God has begun in Grace and her family.

This is the day that the Lord has made. We will be glad and rejoice in it. No weapon formed against Grace and her family shall prosper and every tongue that rises in judgment will be proven wrong.

Be not afraid, I go before you always. Come, follow Me and I will give you rest. Rejoice in the Lord always. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your hearts. Look up, your help comes from The Lord. The joy of the Lord is your strength and the Lord is the strength of your lives. Praise stops the enemy's work. Joy comes in the morning. God's mercies are new every morning.

I ask for the anointing of the Holy Spirit on the Care Meeting. I ask for God's wisdom for everyone involved and that Lord would make the decisions because He has a good plan for Grace today and for her future. By Jesus' stripes, Grace was and is healed.

It is wonderful that the storming stopped when Mom held her. I bind fear and doubt from Grace and her family in Jesus' Name. God has not given them the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. God has given them the measure of faith and their faith is growing.

They will not be defeated and they will not quit. The only weapon the enemy has is to try to get us to doubt God's Word. He is a persistent liar. We will continue to hit him with the hammer of God's Word, the Name of Jesus, and the blood of Jesus. These weapons always defeat him as long as we continue to use them. God has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us.

All of our children are taught by the Lord and great shall be their peace. The seed of the righteous (our children) shall be delivered.

I am thankful that Dad is spending time with Grace. There is nothing like the loving relationship between a father and his daughter. It is the foundation of her life. When that is secure, her life is secure.

I am standing in the gap and praying a wall of protection around Grace and her family. The victory is ours and the battle is the Lord's.

Good Morning Friends,
Hymn writer Fanny Crosby was visiting a musician friend, W.H. Doane, here in Cincinnati when she was inspired to write the lyrics to "I Am Thine, O Lord"...Doane wrote the music. This hymn's chorus speaks about drawing nearer to the precious bleeding side of Jesus...and encourages us to draw near to HIM!

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith And be closer drawn to Thee.

Refrain: Draw me nearer, nearer blessèd Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died. Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessèd Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side.

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine.

Refrain

O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God I commune as friend with friend!

Refrain

There are depths of love that I cannot know Till I cross the narrow sea; There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Today, lets draw nearer to HIM, our physician, healer, protector and friend, our Saviour, our Counselor, Redeemer, the one and only conqueror of the evil one...

We pray now for all who are involved in Grace's care in any way, that they may know the presence of the Almighty God in every breath they take, in every word they utter in the presence of this family. Father God, wrap your loving arms around these dear children of yours, holding them closer than ever, giving them calm assurance of your abiding presence. Thank you for the gift of your presence, of your precious bleeding side...all because YOU love us...all in the name of Jesus, the Christ! Amen.

We stand in the gap,
Lisa and Tim

Lord, I come before Your mighty throne with so many requests for this family. I ask that You would restore their health and set a boundary around their bodies that the infections cannot cross again.

I pray for wisdom to prevail during the Care Meeting today. Mom is right that these past few days are not good indications of Grace's long-term health. Grant them an advocate on the panel who will support the family's point of view.

Most of all, I ask for peace for this family. Give Mom and Dad peace with each other. Give Mom peace with herself and Dad peace with himself. I thank you for the peace that Grace finds in her parent's arms. Give Grace a Sabbath's rest from the storms and restore her to full health.

I pray that You would strengthen this family's bodies, souls and spirits. Let them know that You have already cared for their finances so they have one less thing to worry about.

I ask these things in Your powerful name. Amen.
