Women's Intuition

The ICU doctors are at a loss to explain Grace's continued storming. They don't have any evidence to suggest a spinal infection, but have been pushing to do a spinal tap just in case. Mom has been uncomfortable with this, but didn't have a solid reason to back up her uneasiness - until today. The main doctor called in sick today, and when Mom consulted with the acting physician, she was informed that a spinal tap would require:
  1. Complete sedation putting Grace into a state of paralysis
  2. The reintroduction of a ventilator, which Grace has been free from for weeks
  3. Stopping the use of the g-tube, which is finally working correctly
Also, the doctor on call mentioned that the way Grace arches her back during storming would put her at an extremely high risk of being permanently damaged by a spinal tap at this point.

None of the above had been mentioned to mom and dad when the doctors recommended said procedure.

The doctors are starting over with Grace's medicines. They're assuming that Grace needs no medication, and adding things back as needed, rather than continuing with the "Well, she's been on X for a long time now" regimen. It's a process. Grace is still storming a lot.

Grace is still making great progress, despite the storming. She's opening her eyes and blinking more. The nurses no longer argue that Grace is making purposeful movement. She has the presence of mind to remove those annoying sticky tape thingys that take her pulse. (Who can blame her? If it was me, I'd be tempted to do that too!) When she's congested, she puts her hand near her throat. When the feeding tube was leaking, she would put her hand there. It's too intentional to simply chalk up to coincidence.

Mom has her appointment tomorrow to discuss options for how to deal with her gall bladder.

Please pray for:
  • Complete healing and restoration for Grace
  • Complete healing for Mom and her gall bladder
  • Total follow-through from the family's health insurance
  • An end to the storming once and for all
  • Financial Provision (If you are interested in this area please contact info@gracegoodday.com for more information).

Thank God for wisdom for the doctor who doesn't agree with the need for a spinal tap. Now Mom has a reason to not allow this to happen.

Jesus took storming and all sickness on his body so that Grace wouldn't have it on hers. Therefore, no weapon (storming and ailment of any kind) formed against Grace shall prosper. With Jesus' Stripes, Grace is healed for all time.

Praise God Grace is responding to stimulation and is aware of things that are not normal for her. All side effects are bound and cast out in Jesus' Name. The Holy Spirit is bringing (seven times) restoration to everything that the enemy has stolen from Grace.

I command Mom's gall bladder to function perfectly. That means absolutely no pain in Jesus' Name.
Mom's and Grace's bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, justified and sanctified. Therefore, the enemy has no power over them and no place in them in Jesus' Name. They are filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God will accomplish everything this family needs and it will not return void. Jesus healed them all, therefore, they are all healed.

Praise God for the doctor on call who is able to be direct about the risks of a spinal tap...Praise God for Grace's continued progress...Praise God for His role as our GREAT PHYSICIAN!!!

The Father has given mom and dad knowledge of their child and the ability to advocate for Grace in a way no one else can! We are thankful for the contact info for the pediatrician and ask God to open his heart and his skills on behalf of Grace in advance of even seeing her.

Think About His Love

Think about His love,
think about His goodness.
Think about His grace
that's brought us through.

For as high as the heavens above,
so great is the measure of our Father's love.
Great is the measure of our Father's love.

His goodness is unending and His love is everlasting...His timing is perfect and He will supply all our needs!

Hang tough mom and dad...when your weariness seems to be winning, let your mind bring this chorus to you...and think about HIS LOVE.
We stand with you...we continue to hear daily from folks who are reading the updates on Grace and praying for you all across the country! God has a mighty army who know who wins the battle!!!

Hugs,
L&T

Lord, I praise You for answered prayer. Thank You for giving Mom and Dad the wisdom to make the right choices for Grace. I pray that You would continue to direct them and the doctor's, as well. Give them wisdom and direction regarding Mom's gall bladder, as well.

Thank You that Grace is able to communicate that she is indeed responsive to the world around her. I ask that You would end the storms. I ask that Your power would be evident in Grace's life.

I also ask that You would settle the matters regarding insurance and housing.

Continue to bind this family together in love, peace and joy.

I ask these things in Your name, for Your glory's sake. Amen.

And in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-20. Precious Father, allow the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom You the Father sent in your Son's name, teach the doctors in all things and allow them to be baptized in thy Spirit and allow the Gift to be greatly glorified in their work with our Grace. Continue the miraculous and powerful events to unfold as the Spirit remains in Children's Hospital; let the Spirit 'blow like the wind' in them as they lay hands on Grace and as Mom sees her surgeon today. Amen. John 14:15-17,26; Acts 2:38-39.
