First Sounds

I have a lot to report tonight. Grace has some sort of infection. Her breathing is not like it usually is and she is not acting herself. Mom was at the doctor a lot of the day yesterday and pushed to keep her from going into the hospital. The result is breathing treatments every hour around the clock and extra care.

Despite the infection, I have some very exciting things to report. Due to Grace's responsiveness she is no longer considered in a "coma" on the comatose scale that the medical world uses. She is looking at whoever is talking and also localizes her response physically when experiences pain or simulation.

Due to the breathing treatments and the frequency of having to remove the trach they are doing a new procedure. Instead of replacing the trach they are cleaning it and replacing it. Well, last night while Mom was in the other room cleaning it Grace vocalized for the first time. She did not say a word but made a sound repeatedly. The trach goes through her vocal cord area and basically prevents her from making sounds. But, even before Grace had the trach she was not vocalizing. This floored Mom and everyone is SO excited about yet another step of progress.

In addition, the family is looking into some alternative treatment for Grace that has shown incredible results in situations like Grace's. Mom has found a place that does this treatment for free in Florida so the family would just need to pay for lodging, food and airfare. The treatment time would be about a month and if it was successful the family would buy a used machine for this treatment for the home. All of this is still very much in investigation and no final decision have been made.

Please Pray For:
  • Infection to be identified
  • Healing for the infection
  • Continued encouragement for the family as Grace's healing is manifested
  • Wisdom with this alternative treatment
  • Financial Provision (If you are interested in this area please e-mail info@gracegoodday.com)

Praise God that Grace is completely healed by Jesus' stripes. I bind all infection and command it to go and it cannot return again in Jesus' Name. I command her breathing to be normal in Jesus' Name. I invite the Holy Spirit to help her to do everything that she did before and more.

Praise God for Grace's improved responsiveness and that she is no longer in a coma. Praise God that Grace looks at those who talk to her and is able to respond when she experiences pain or stimulation.

Praise God that Grace is making efforts to talk and that she is able to make sounds. I ask God to restore Grace's breathing so the trach can be permanently removed in Jesus' Name.

I command the enemy to restore 7 times what he stole from Grace and more. He is bound and cast out in Jesus' Name and he cannot touch her or her family in Jesus' Name. They are blood-bought children of God and they have the victory over everything in Jesus' Name.

Grace is a new creation in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away, all things have become new. God is doing new things for Grace. His plans for her are plans for good and not for evil to give her a future and a hope.

I praise God for the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding he has given to Mom and Dad regarding Grace's recovery. I thank God that He will reveal to Mom and Dad if the treatment in Florida is right for Grace. He has begun a good work in Grace and He will complete it.

Shalom -- nothing missing, nothing broken.

Wow, that is fabulous news. What a strong and beautiful little girl Grace is. I think of you, Grace, and your loving family and pray for you daily. I believe there will be a way for you to have the treatments in FL. that you need. We will all be praying that God will open the doors that need opening and show your Mommy and Daddy a clear path to Florida.

I ask God to heal Grace of the infections in her lungs, just as He has in the past. How exciting! What a praise that Grace is making further attempts at communication. Continue to rewire her brain, Lord, that she would remember how to talk, move, respond and play.

I pray for wisdom and provision for the family as they look into further treatments. I pray for a fun summer for little boys, as well as the rest of the family.

May God continue to show you His plan as He walks beside you. In His name I pray, amen.

Praise God for Grace's good health and complete recovery. She has come a very long way and is continuing to show much progress. The Lord will complete what he has begun and the enemy has to restore 7x what he stole from her.

This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Shalom -- nothing missing, nothing broken
